Hi! I’m Alethea, founder of Thea’s Sugar Passions.

It all began …

In 2015 when my daughter decided that she wanted a bambi cake for her birthday.

There I was thinking of making a flat cake with Bambi drawn on it, or cut out in 2D, when my 2 year old soon-to-be 3 year old announced that she didn’t just want Bambi but also the mother and the whole cast.

Having only used fondant for the first time the previous year for her birthday, I didn’t really know what I was doing.

But I painstakingly made all the characters and discovered I was thoroughly enjoying myself, and that I had a real knack for it!

So I decided to see what I could achieve with the help of books, time and dedication, and was super-proud to create my Fairy World cake.

Its fair to say this created much excitement and a magical memory at my friends party and really kickstarted my ongoing passion for sugarcraft.
